The Health Foundation is looking for a full-time Business Development Manager to take responsibility for building and strengthening partnerships and relationships with the view to expanding business operations toward sustained growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify, build, strengthen and maintain relationships with relevant key funders, stakeholders and the media in order to increase business revenue.
- Set up and manage CRM database.
- Develop an innovative, fresh and courageous Business Development Strategy aligned to the goals of the CEO and the Board.
- Manage production of Business Development and Fundraising Material
- Evaluate and improve sales, marketing, and branding strategies
- Develop and timeously submit appropriate donor proposals.
- Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities to increase profitability.
- Ensure timeous submission of relevant reports to donors where required.
- Represent the organization’s business development interests at relevant meetings, events, and within resource mobilization or donor-specific peer networks.
- Provide a monthly report on interactions and activities undertaken
- Conduct business in accordance with proper business standards and ensure that the reputation of the Health Foundation is always considered with integrity
Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Development Studies, International development, or related technical discipline.
- Strong marketing and communication skills.
- 10 years of experience in donor partnership management with successful proposal development for large donors,
- An understanding of Government structures
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities of multiple partners,
- Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research, negotiation, and verbal communications.
- Own transport needed.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
