Tele-Health
Project Description
The Health Foundation is the implementing partner for Tele-Health, a digital telehealth platform that connects patients to doctors immediately, conveniently and cost-effectively. Patients dial a USSD number and request a call-back from a doctor.
Tele-Health relieves the burden on the public health system by eliminating long queues and reducing high patient loads in public clinics.
The service is free to users at selected community healthcare centres (CHC): Delft CHC, Symphony Way CHC, Cape Town CHC, KT Motubatse CHC and Soshanguve CHC. Tele-Health is also expanding the project’s capacity to facilitate access to quality healthcare at these facilities.
