Join the Knowledge Translation Unit (KTU), a pioneering research and knowledge synthesis group dedicated to enhancing health systems through the development of practical clinical content extracted from existing health-related policies and guidelines, and implementing these resources within various health systems. Core Objective
You will play a critical role in developing and refining the KTU’s clinical materials. Your expertise will shape our suite of clinical guidelines, decision-support tools, educational frameworks, and training materials to ensure excellent quality medical care delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- A Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) and active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Practical clinical experience.
- Exceptional command of the English language and medical writing.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and digital communication tools.
- A commitment to excellence and detail.
- Demonstrated resilience, initiative, and flexibility.
Preferred Experience
- A background in primary care.
- Proficiency in researching, reviewing, and analysing scientific studies, clinical protocols, and policy papers.
- Experience in medical writing, editing, or proofreading is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical content creation: develop, enhance, and refresh our clinical guidelines and educational resources.
- Evidence synthesis: conduct thorough evaluations of current research, norms and standards, and policies to inform content.
- Writing and editing: craft precise medical text and ensure its accuracy and clarity.
- Collaboration: work with diverse stakeholders to gather insights and validate clinical content.
- Project oversight: deliver high-quality clinical content, manage tasks effectively, and meet project deadlines.
