The Health Foundation of South Africa is an NPC with a mission to mobilize resources that enhance public health services through collaboration with public and private stakeholders and is uniquely positioned to collaborate with the Department of Health to improve service delivery.
Against this backdrop, we need strong skillsets to drive the success of our organization and successful candidate will be appointed by The Health Foundation on a fixed term contract ending 31 August 2028.

Duties (Key result areas/outputs)
- Manage and coordinate research project/s related to a high burden and high priority health programme.
- Examine and appraise research projects related to the health programmes.
- Support the implementation of public health interventions and strategies aimed at improving population health outcomes.
- Monitoring, evaluation, learning (MEL)and reporting, including the development of appropriate tools for MEL.
- Project management and stakeholder engagement initiatives to support project aims.
Competencies (Knowledge/skills)
- Computer literacy.
- Project management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and application of regulations, policies, procedures and indicators relevant to health programmes.
- Report writing and data analysis.
- Understanding of public health research.
- Good written and communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Experience
Appropriate experience in public health management/project management
Appropriate experience in primary health care services and management thereof.
Minimum educational qualifications
An appropriate 3-year degree in Health Sciences or related field (equivalent or higher).
A post-graduate qualification in Health Sciences or Public Health will be advantageous.
Inherent Requirements
Valid Driver’s licence
Willingness to travel.
Remuneration
R444 036.00 (Level 9) per annum
Service benefits
R444 036.00 (Level 9) per annum plus 37% in lieu service benefits
